Crowns

In case the dental cavity affects most of the tooth, simple filling is no more possible. However, if most of the upper part of the tooth is unharmed, the tooth can still be built up with the help of a dental crown. We also use crowns as mooring in case of bridges and partial prostheses.

Post and core

In case the upper part of the tooth is already missing, but the root is still unharmed, the tooth can be enabled of wearing a crown with the help of a "post and core" moored in the root.

Implants

An implant is an artificial root planted in the toothless jaw. It resembles the original root in form. The implant with the denture on it plays the role of the missing tooth in the stomatognathic system. Due to modern anaesthetic methods implantation became a painless treatment. It is recommended if one or more teeth are missing as well as in total default of teeth.

Inlay, filling

* * Composit fillings (white fillings) are suitable to replace the dental substance that went missing because of decay. With their help the original shape and colour of the healthy teeth can be retained.

* Gold inlay, porcelain inlay: If a considerable ammount of the tooth is missing, and filling would not solve this problem for a long time, but at the same time, there is no need of a crown, we make an inlay. An inlay is basicly a kind of filling, that is prepared by the prosthetist against an impression. The gold inlay guarantees very precise sealing, although it is not of the colour of the tooth (it is golden). Porcelain inlay is similar to composit fillings, as it is of the colour of teeth, and at the same time it is much more lasting.

Prosthesis

In other words this is called denture. It can be removed from the mouth. Depending on the existence of own teeth in the mouth a partial or full prosthesis can be prepared.

* Full prosthesis: If in the mouth there are no teeth left, a full prosthesis can be prepared, which restores the patient's ability to bite and chew. There are different variants:

* with porcelain teeth

* with porcelain incisors and plastic molars

Scaling

Scale appearing on teeth and dentures is a significant risk factor. Scale hurts the gums. Bacteria that are found in scale can cause inflamation.
